Summer Olympics at Cars For Sale
Cars For Sale regularly gets everyone together for business updates on projects, achievements, and goals, but the business updates at Cars For Sale are far from regular! There’s always a fun activity involved. Sometimes it’s seeing a nationally known entertainment act up close. Other times, it’s being treated to the stunning athletics of powersports competitors. There’s always a chance to take part in a teambuilding event, though.
For this business update, a little bit of the flavor from the 2024 Paris Olympics was brought right over to the Cars For Sale headquarters! After the morning donuts, the presentations, and the catered lunch, employees were split into 10 teams for a series of Olympic-style competitions.
Each team member got a chance to score points in a ring toss event, a round of lawn darts, and a water balloon relay. The goal of the water balloon relay was to toss the balloon between 11 different team members without breaking it.
Everyone did well at that, finishing in under a minute, but when there’s water balloons involved, things are sure to get at least a little bit wild. An impromptu water balloon battle after the relay left a few people drying off in the summer heat.
There was also a caterpillar walk, where the teams stepped onto a circular tarp and had to coordinate together to walk it from the starting point to the finish, all while staying in a straight line.
Finally, teams had one last chance to improve their rankings and their medal count by competing in a relay that went through an 11-spot makeshift golf course, weaving through the sales and customer service cubicles. In addition to a few obstacles along the way, there were a few unique rules for this timed Cars For Sale Summer Olympics golf outing. Each member of the team had to use whatever putter was available to them, so some people had to use a broom, use a bathtub brush, or even shoot a golf ball through plastic obstacles using a pool cue.
After the medals and points from each competition were tallied, three teams took Bronze, Silver, and Gold in the overall rankings. They received a round of applause from their competitors, medals for their hard work, and some cash prizes, too!
