In addition to the fun team get-togethers, the potlucks, and the variety of contests we all take part in at Cars For Sale, there are other days that are just as impactful. For over seven years, at least twice a year, the Community Blood Bank has been rolling their mobile unit into the parking lot to accept donations.

Nearly 200 donations from team members over the years have added up to 30 saved lives in total! That’s what inspires those who already donated to keep coming back and doing so again.

In fact, some donors hit a milestone mark, including Jessi. With her most recent donation, the total blood she’s given now equals a full gallon!

While there are certainly a lot of repeat donors, there are always some Cars For Sale first-timers, too. For those who are on the fence about signing up to donate, the ‘Gallon Club’ members have some advice: 

“It’s not a bad idea to schedule at the same time as someone you know so you can have someone to talk with while donating. And don’t look at the needle.”

Every time the Community Blood Bank stops by, lives are changed, whether it’s someone receiving the gift or one of the donors who is giving it.
