Job Overview

The Design Developer will specialize in the creative delivery of large-scale product initiatives through concept creation, layouts, styling, and product prototyping.

What We Need You To Do

  • Designs inspirational, useful, and usable experiences first while balancing business and marketing needs
  • Takes into account every aspect of the user’s experience from strategy to design and prototype, even seeing the product through to documentation and testing
  • Create/builds experiences leveraging user-centered design principles and modern visual design taking into account user expected behavior principles and interactions
  • Utilizes expert understanding of the latest technology and devices (including programming languages network infrastructure, process, web and mobile application development) to produce technically achievable and efficient interactive solutions
  • Uses user-centered design principles, visual design, user behavior, interactions, and brand
  • Understands SEO principles including building performant code, utilizing the correct mark-up, keyword and content strategies
  • Responsible for ensuring all products are designed using a responsive design structure
  • Responsible for developing front end product concepts, adding SEO mark-up, ensuring analytics set-up code is built to be performant
  • Develop and maintain global product design and styling standards that will be referenced during the creation of all products
  • Improve the process, creation, and appearance of existing products
  • Other responsibilities and/or duties as assigned to meet the needs and/or goals of the department

You’ll Also Need

  • Bachelor’s in marketing, communication, or related field is preferred
  • Must have advanced computer skills
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive layout structure, user architecture, end-user prototyping, and/or other technical coding and tools
  • Proficient in using the Adobe Suite Creative Software
  • Ability to conceptualize design solutions
  • Accepting of constructive criticism
  • Ability to accept change in a professional manner
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
  • Effective listening skills are needed
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Must be self-motivated, persistent, and have the ability to prioritize workloads
